I have resided in San Diego for over 40 years.  I received my BA from San Diego State University and my MFA from California State University, Long Beach.

Cityscape and landscape have been my constant theme.  The interest is so pervasive that I cannot recall a beginning.  I know that wherever I have been, my surroundings have absorbed my attention and curiosity.  My images are informed with a sense of place.  All the emotional and intellectual responses of life have been filtered through the scrim of my surroundings.  Through the manipulation of form and the transformation of color the human environment has become metaphor for the human condition.  I find the appropriate motifs in the usual rather than the unusual, the mundane rather than the extraordinary, the vernacular rather than the literate.  I find "high art" in low places
